dot-art

dot-art dot-art is a Liverpool based art organisation which exists to make affordable original art accessibl

dot-art was founded in Liverpool in 2006 and specialises in affordable, high quality, locally sourced art. We work with over 100 artists to provide an unrivaled choice of original art and limited edition prints for home or business, as well as offering a range of complementary services including; commissions, art rental, art consultancy, exhibition planning and implementation, bespoke framing, art

valuation and restoration and artist sourcing. Artwork can be browsed at our gallery on Queen Avenue, our website (www.dot-art.com) and Rex: The Concept Store on Bold Street, Liverpool. dot-art supports visual artists and champions art as an integral part of everyday life. We do this by selling locally sourced, affordable art, working with businesses to put art in the workplace and public realm, running art classes and working with schools and community groups. All this is underpinned by our unique membership scheme for artists in the North West which gives access to all the activities above and a package of support and advice, creating and developing artists’ careers. All our work supports our not-for profit arm, dot-art Services CIC, which exists to support North-West based visual artists, both emerging and established, through a range of services and opportunities designed to help them develop their careers and gain exposure and promotion for their work, as well as delivering a programme of art classes across Liverpool; and dot-art Schools, our innovative inter school art competition, launched in 2012.

At this time of year, particularly with the running of , we’re reminded of the incredible number of artists around us in the North West. Over our 20 years, dot-art is proud to have worked with quite a few!

Our birthday year is rushing past, so we’re taking a minute to think about what we’ve achieved in partnership with our artists. From longstanding members like Nathan, to new Young Artist Members who will begin to grow in confidence, value their work and talent, and believe the arts are worth taking part in.

Featuring Nathan Pendlebury, Artist Member, and Sarah Vasey, Culture Liverpool.

Thank you to .productions for the film.

A huge new addition to the public art landscape in Kirkdale, what a before and after!

'The 4 Seasons' mural on Chirkdale Street by artist Madeleine Pires brings together stories of community, memory, change and renewal through an ambitious large-scale artwork inspired by the cycle of the seasons.

Developed through a series of community engagement sessions, workshops and conversations with local residents, the mural reflects ideas shared by participants around remembrance, nature, resilience and hope. Residents contributed stories, poetry, drawings and symbolism which helped shape the final design, from wildflowers and stained-glass inspired forms to personal reflections on family, grief and brighter days ahead.

The project was commissioned by Onward Homes, the housing association responsible for many of the properties in the area, including this gable end, alongside Liverpool City Council/Culture Liverpool, with dot-art supporting the delivery of the mural and wider community engagement work.

Painted over 15 days the mural is part of the continuing Flower Streets transformation in Kirkdale, celebrating creativity, local identity and the power of public art to bring people together.

Have you seen this stunning new mural yet? Let us know! 🌹💐

Coming soon at Hope Street, Julie Lawrence with an exhibition called 'Walking through Seasons'.

Julie's work is rooted in the spiritual perspective of visionary landscape artists such as Samuel Palmer and William Blake. Her practice explores landscape through an intuitive and emotional response shaped by daily walks through Stapledon Woods and Caldy Hill.

The exhibition also reflects the restorative power of nature she returns to her practice following a necessary pause from making. The resulting works reveal both observations of landscape and an inner journey of healing and renewal.

See the work on the first floor of the Everyman from the 26th May.
Make sure to check the opening hours before your visit.

All work is for sale.

Did you know dot-art helped bring the Liverpool Wall of Fame mural to life on the waterfront? 🎨✨

Created by artist Joseph Venning in 2024 in collaboration with dot-art
and Liverpool Experience Campus () this 40m mural celebrates the people, places and cultural icons that have shaped Liverpool’s identity, from music and comedy to sport, drama and visual art.

Inspired by the collage style of Peter Blake, the mural features legends including Paul McCartney, Ken Dodd, Natasha Jonas and Jodie Comer, alongside landmarks and cultural moments that make Liverpool what it is.

Next time you’re passing the waterfront near Liverpool Experience Campus (or leaving the Kings Dock car park) see how many faces you recognise!
