Saturday September 5: 20th Anniversary Open Day
We celebrated this being our 20th year of service by hosting an Open Day with many wonderful dignitaries, supporters, donors, families and friends of the team coming along without whom we could not do what we do. Team members were proudly able to show to talk about the various aspects of the team including water search, dogs, medical, bikes, drones and how searches are actually carried out and the technology used.

The Deputy Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire Sue Freestone gave a great speech to all present as did Wayne Bent as a trustee and one of our Search Managers and one of several team members who have proudly served throughout those 20 years.

We were very happy to be able to host many special guests including the Deputy Mayor of Ely Christine Whelan, Deputy Mayors of Peterborough Andrew Bond and Jade Seager, Assistant Chief Constable Leighton Hammett and many of our volunteer team members past and present for their support in what proved to be a most enjoyable and memorable day.

A big thank you to all those that celebrated the day with us.

This weekend the team will be celebrating along with many special guests its first 20 years of continuous service.

During this time our trained volunteers have been proud and professional in serving the communities of Cambridgeshire with assisting the Cambridgeshire Constabulary in the search for many high-risk and missing people. In addition, it has also willingly supported the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Local Resilience Forum during many incidents such as the pandemic and adverse weather events including floods and the "Beast from the East".

Thank you to all team members - past and present - and of course our supporters and families for their support and understanding of what we do.
