Whitland is a small town situated approximately 15 miles from Carmarthen. The town borders the river Taf, and the county of Pembrokeshire. Whitland is fortunate to have its own railway station right in the town, with direct links to London, and the north, as well as local services. Whitland has 2 thriving schools, Post Office, bank, shops, businesses, 3 pubs, cafe, and a restaurant just outside th

e town. Whitland also has the well known Hywel Dda interpretive centre, and just outside the town is Whitland Abbey, which can be seen by using the many footpaths that surround Whitland, especially the famous Landsker line.

Whitland Town Council are pleased to announce that after a long while and much negations a cash hub is now open for any banking business.

It does not offer postal services but you can do any cash transactions or banking transactions.

There are still a few remedial decoration works to be carried out on the Studio so we ask that you bear with us for the moment. Once all works are completed and official launch will take place.

Please use this facility. Transactions include- withdrawal of cash, paying of cash, paying in of cheques, a supply of change and advice on bank accounts.

The hub will be open five days a week 9 am to 5 pm.

There are still efforts to get a postal service back into Whitland so watch this space.

Adverse weather assistance.

In light of the recent storm and its impact on Whitland residents, Whitland Town Council will host a public meeting in the New Year to develop a community assistance strategy. This plan aims to provide timely support whenever and wherever it needed with all community buildings collaborating to ensure sustained assistance for as long as necessary.

An update will be given when a date has been confirmed. If you are interested and want to attend the meeting please email the Clerk at [email protected]
