Our youth team enjoyed another fantastic session in a safe and welcoming space, bringing together young people from.diverse communities to share stories, build friendship, and explore cultural heritage. One of the highlights was Carrom, an 18th century board game originating in the Indian subcontinent. Through activities like these young people develop confidence, critical thinking and wellbeing, while fostering cultural exchange, community spirit, mutual respect and a stronger sense of belonging.

A training and meeting held side by side, marking the beginning of a new chapter in our strategic research and documentation work on an important part of South Asian history and heritage. At KIRAN Cymru, in collaboration with South Asian Heritage Society Cymru, we are proud to continue this journey 365 days a year—preserving, researching, and documenting the lived experiences, shared histories, and contributions of South Asian communities in Wales and beyond.
We are deeply grateful to our volunteers, stakeholders and partners for their continued support. Strategic research and documentation is an ongoing, living process, one that ensures the legacy of our communities is preserved for future generations and remains visible, valued, and understood.
Together, we remain committed to honouring and upholding this important work 365 days of the year.

A successful storytelling session led by our young volunteers featured discussions on the Windrush Generations and their contributions, followed by an engaging Q&A session. Participants also explored the hostoric Trade Routes between North Africa and Central Asia, with lively discussions throughout. The event concluded with delicious snacks. A wonderful intergenerational community engagement session brought people over delicious food, meaningful discussions, and cultural exchange. Together, we explored heritage and South Asian migration, creating a warm and safe space for learning, connection, and shared experiences. There were also more participants in the background, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of the session.
