Road Policing officers are appealing for information following a serious crash on the A835 between Gorstan and Braemore on Saturday, 13 June, 2026.
Around 7.15pm, a white Audi A3 was involved in a single vehicle crash on the A835 at Loch Glascarnoch.
Emergency services attended and a road closure was put in place. The 22-year-old male driver was taken by ambulance to Raigmore Hospital, Inverness where hospital staff describe his condition as critical.
The road reopened at 2am on Sunday, 14 June, 2026.
Sergeant Douglas Scott said: "Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances, and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us.
"I would also urge anyone who was in the area and driving on the A835 who may have seen the white Audi prior to the crash, or who has any dash-cam footage which could assist to get in touch.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference number 2791 of 13 June, 2026."
