We continue Volunteers Week 2026 by celebrating one of our wonderful Wellbeing Walk Volunteers.

Wellbeing Walks help people get out into nature, and in doing so hopefully improve their wellbeing and make new friends.

This Volunteer Week, we’re celebrating the people who make our community stronger. If you'd like to make a difference, join us: https://bit.ly/3nUgfn9

We open again on the 5th of July 2026.

M.E.E.T. (Men, Exercise, Engage, Talk) is a social group for 18-35 year old men, which aims to support mental wellbeing. It gives men of this age group the opportunity to get active together, engage with garden activities and support one other in a relaxed, open space.

It's ! Learn more below about how Beds RCC's team of Community Wellbeing Champions assist the people of Bedfordshire in making positive changes to their lives.

Today is Social Prescribing Day! This day is an annual celebration dedicated to recognising the efforts of people, organisations and communities involved in social prescribing.

Beds RCC plays a significant role in social prescribing within Bedfordshire. We offer personalised support to help individuals improve their health and wellbeing by connecting them with local services and activities.

Our team of Community Wellbeing Champions assists people in making positive changes, such as joining exercise classes, social groups and other community activities.

We also have a focus on Green Social Prescribing, which involves nature-based activities to support mental and physical health. We offer various programmes like community gardens, wellbeing walks and conservation volunteer groups.

This week we will be highlighting the many activities run by and for the local community here at Dunstable Community Halls that contribute to improving health and wellbeing. Thank you to all who run these events, as well as those who attend.

We are also taking the opportunity to link these to the NHS Five Steps to Wellbeing and the various ways in which we can all help to improve the mental and physical wellbeing of ourselves and others.
