The platform facilitates a seamless, multilingual, real-time dialogue, between communities, organisations, donors and decision makers to improve the effectiveness and accountability of Aid. A global, accessible tool for people to safely share and receive feedback

on what is important to them, at any time, from anywhere, in their
own language, for free. At Talk to Loop we envision a world where accountability and responsiveness drive the way we measure impact —a world where community voices shape investment. And we are proving it’s possible. Loop and Talk To Loop are operating names of OurLoop Stichting, a charity registered in the Netherlands.

📌 Somalia & Somaliland May 2026 Snapshot Report

In May, the most feedback came from Kismayo and its IDP camps, Lower Shabelle, and Banaadir - areas where people are dealing with displacement, drought, and limited access to services.

A community in Kismayo shared their concerns through Loop - they were unsure why they had been left out of certain distributions and could not communicate easily with staff due to language differences.

When community members report service concerns, rapid response is key. Loop helps organisations act fast.

When a coastal village in Jubam Somalia reported, through Talk to Loop, that their water well and solar system had stopped functioning, Talk to Loop referred the feedback to the NRC WASH team which responded with rapid field verification.

Their engineers noticed that the system display had entered sleep mode, which community members interpreted as technical failure. After providing operational guidance and clarification, the team confirmed the infrastructure was fully functional.

✅ Restored community confidence without major repairs
✅ Shifted focus from service concerns to development priorities
✅ Demonstrated the value of timely feedback verification

This case shows how effective feedback mechanisms can improve accountability, strengthen trust, rapid response and support more sustainable program outcomes.
