Bunny has recently enjoyed time away from
Kennels with amazing volunteer Ania:

I took lovely Bunny to the adventure barn last week and I realised by taking her out of her regular environment/routine she’s actually a very sensitive girl with some underlying nerves, and she just needs reassurance and to know she is safe, and once she has that her character really comes out.

She happily hopped in the car but you could tell she was a little unsure on what was happening, I think the smell of my dogs in the car may have been a bit confusing for her too. Once we got to the barn she was a little nervous and unsure, so many new smells and sounds so she sniffed for a good 10 minutes to get her bearings.

It was a windy day and there were some strange noises coming off the roof of the barn which worried her a little, but slowly and surely with lots of cuddles, sniffing and reassurance she began to realise she is safe. And as she started to relax she started to have fun… and she really did have fun!

Once she feels safe and trusts the situation she is so playful and silly, it was so lovely to see the transformation. And every time she had a good play she would always run back over to me for some cuddles, and spent a lot of time on my lap, she’s so affectionate and just the sweetest girl. On the car ride home she lay down all the way and was so relaxed 💕

💖 Oshie 💖 is our handsome JRT Terrier looking for his forever home 🙏

Oshie's journey hasn't been an easy one. Found abandoned and unclaimed in a London council pound, he was given a second chance when he came into rescue. Now, this brave little boy is ready to find the family he's always deserved.

At first, the world can feel a little overwhelming for Oshie. Loud noises, busy places and unfamiliar faces can make him nervous, but with patience, kindness and reassurance, his true personality shines through.

And what a personality it is! ❤️

Oshie is everything you could want in a terrier – clever, playful, affectionate and full of character. He's incredibly food-motivated (especially when chicken is involved!), loves learning new things and already knows an impressive list of commands. He's fully house-trained, crate-trained and enjoys having his own safe space.

His absolute favourite things? Tennis balls, sniffy walks, exploring woodland paths and cuddling up on the sofa with his favourite person.

Once Oshie trusts you, he trusts you completely. He'll make you laugh every day, cheer you up when you're feeling down and be your most loyal companion.

Oshie would thrive in a calm, experienced adult home where he can be the centre of attention. He needs someone who understands that, although he can be worried around other dogs and some people, he's made amazing progress and simply needs a patient person who will continue building his confidence.

🐾⚡️MIssy is available for adoption ⚡️🐾

Red Fell Terrier 🔹 Age 3

Missy is such a popular girl, she’s recently enjoyed several foster breaks from kennels 🐶💖

This weekend we had the wonderful Missy come to stay and she is such a fascinating little character.

During our walkies she was speeding along and displaying those hardy terrier traits, always on the look out and peeking over walls and under bushes. She would really suit an active family as she can literally walk for miles. But dont let this fool you, as inside the home she is totally different.

It's as though a snuggle bug switch turned on and after a short burst of investigating the new environment she settled in very nicely. There was a couple of little accidents initially but it's likely the excitement because after this, regular routine potty breaks solved this very quickly. She also has a really cute way of communicating and chirps to you if she wants something. Melts your heart.

When we sat down for food, she politely stayed close by but didn't beg. In fact one evening she was easily entertained by a leaf blowing around on the patio.

Missy has a wonderful personality and has so much love to give. She equally enjoyed playing and snuggling with both of us which was lovely to see no favouritism and even felt so relaxed at bedtime that she snuck under the duvet and slept through the night without disturbing us.

You can tell she's such an intelligent dog who enjoys scent games and we witnessed zero aggression or destructive behaviour.

Overall she was a delight to have over to stay and her new home will be full of love from this little one when that time comes.

• No cats or small animals due to high prey drive
• Needs experienced, responsible owners

💜 Pip is awaiting adoption 💜

Pip recently spent 5 days in foster. A huge step for a Patterdale who has been in kennel care for almost 4 years.

Here is a summary from our wonderful volunteer Elaine:

📅 First Day:

Pip has come to stay with me for a few days, he has been absolutely amazing.

Pip is the most loving little boy, he will cover you in kisses, loves a cuddle and in return you get so much love from him 🥰.

📅 My second day with the fantastic Pip:

He ate all his dinner last night, he must be feeling more comfortable in my home.

Pip slept all night on my bed, when he wakes up he likes to give good morning kisses 😘.

Today we went to the secured field, he had the best time despite the rain. My goodness Pip can run so fast, he loved the freedom of the field. I would definitely say Pip is an all weather dog.Nothing deters Pip from enjoying his time out of the home.

Pip travels very well in the car, no noise at all, I have to keep checking he is still in the car!

I went out for an hour this morning, again I came home to Pip sleeping on top of the sofa, no accidents or barking. I am still waiting to hear Pip bark😀.

As mentioned before, Pip needs a quiet adult home, where he can thrive and surround you with unconditional love. As I am writing this, Pip is having a nap with his favourite toy🥰

📅 My 3rd day with Pip:

We had a lovely early morning walk over the common, Pip saw lots of rabbits, he was so excited up on his hind legs desperate to say hello 😂.

We had an appointment with the vet this morning for his annual injection. Pip has to be muzzled when going to the vets, Pip accepts the muzzle with no issues. Pip did really well at the vets, I kept reassuring him with lots of praise, we were back in the car in no time.

I went to the kennels today leaving Pip for a few hours, Pip was a superstar, no accidents, or barking.

Pip is starting to relax now, and will sleep after his walk and after playing. I would imagine that Pip needs to catch up on a lot of sleep, it is wonderful that he feels comfortable at home to relax.

Pip is not a demanding dog, he fits into your routine very easily, he is happy playing in the garden or inside, or sitting next to you for a cuddle. He has the most amazing manners at home, very respectful.

This is my last evening with Pip, he has exceeded all of my expectations , the person who adopts Pip will have the most wonderful life with him. He will love you unconditionally.🥰

🎉Beryl is homed🎉

Robbie passed with flying colours to be ready to meet Beryl yesterday with the view to offering her his home.

The specialness of the occasion was met by the fact it was Robbie's birthday and what a gift he granted to Beryl and himself ♥️
