Hi - it's now 6 months since my move to my new family in Scotland - and I'm loving it! My Mum and Dad say I've settled in really well, although I'm still as loopy-do and boisterous as always.

I've been to training classes (and was star of the show 😀) and now got the hang of my commands in English - apparently my recall is really good and I can even walk through fields of sheep without bothering them. How clever am I 🤣

They've been taking me for some great walks, and at home I'm always in the garden pestering Mum to throw the ball while she's gardening.

I even like to watch TV especially sport, farming and wildlife programmes - Dad's dead pleased there's now a female in the house that likes football 😉 - England did okay yesterday but I'm staying true to my roots and supporting Wales.

Hey – it was my birthday yesterday, I’m 1 year old now you know. Had a great day (as always).

Here’s a video of me playing ball in the field with Cooper, and photos of me relaxing in the garden afterwards. He may be an old boy but I tell you – he’s got a turn of speed when there’s a ball about. He even beat me to it a few times – don’t tell him but it was only when I gave him a head start 🤣.

This is great - my foster Mum & Dad have started taking me on outings. Apparently as well as having a good day out the idea is to get me more socialised, used to meeting new people and dogs, and used to traffic – but I think it’s really just an excuse for them to eat cake!

First we went to an artists exhibition where I got to walk round the garden looking at sculptures and meeting people. On the way home we stopped off at a photographers gallery / coffee shop where we sat outside and I could watch people go by while they sat and had a coffee and cake.

Next day we went to the beach which was great fun, had a paddle and played ball, and met more people and dogs. I’m not keen on going out of my depth for a swim though ... Then it was off to another cafe for lunch and more cake, er, I mean socialising!

Yesterday they obviously decided they needed to work off some of those calories so we went for a good walk through the woods and up into the hills. Poor Cooper was tired by the end of it though.

Mum & Dad keep telling me I’m a good girl and they’re pleased with how well I’m coming along – well I think they’re not doing too bad themselves, I think they’re my kind of people.

Training is going well - I am learning the new language and know words such as Come here, Sit, Stay (or at least I do when I’m not distracted by something more interesting when I forget it all!!!). Apparently I need to learn not to jump up at people, not to pull on the lead, to behave myself around sheep and not chase swallows around and around the garden as they fly overhead – but blimey those swallows are good fun even if I am loopy do. We had a visit from a nice dog trainer woman today and I’m going to try out some of her classes - she says training is all about having fun so that sounds good to me. Don’t know if there is any cake involved though 🤣🐾.

Hi - I'm Nanw (pronounced Nanoo), I'm Welsh but now living with my new foster Mum & Dad in south west Scotland and loving it. It was a loooong journey to get here (thanks to all the volunteers who ferried me up here) and I was a bit stressed at first being in a new home - I mean they don't even speak Welsh up here! But I've really settled in now.

I can't believe how lucky I am to be here - there loads of great countryside, fields and woodlands to explore and I've got a new big brother (called Cooper) - he's an old boy and doesn't like me pestering him but he's a real gent and doesn't cause a fuss. We've been on lots a great walks together - even though I have to keep waiting for him to catch up as he's so slooooow, the poor old boy.

My new foster Mum and Dad tell me if I'm a good girl I'll be able to stay for ever - well, I kind of think I would like to, so I'm trying to be on my best behaviour, but sometimes it's so exciting I just can't help myself .... and you know, I am still learning a new language (but I think I've got them under my spell) 🐾😃
