This prestigious recognition honours a lifetime dedicated to serving British Muslims, particularly those embracing Islam. Through her pioneering leadership, Batool has spent more than three decades supporting new Muslims, developing transformative programmes, creating vital educational resources, building support networks, and advocating for greater understanding of the convert experience across Britain.

From her work with the New Muslims Project to founding the Convert Muslim Foundation, Batool’s vision, compassion, and commitment have shaped the lives of thousands of converts and helped foster a more welcoming and inclusive Muslim community.

Her remarkable journey—from an Irish Catholic upbringing to becoming one of the UK's most respected voices in convert care and support—is an inspiring testament to faith, empathy, and service.

We are incredibly proud to see our founder and trustee receive this well-deserved honour.
