After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.

There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.

The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”

As believers in Christ and beneficiaries of the New Covenant we are no longer under the Law but in the freedom of the Spirit. We are not regulated by the norms of tithes but by the flow of His Kingdom of love.

As we mature and have access to more revelation we are guided to a life of generosity and compassion, we stop making our own pleasures a priority, but rather the needs of others.
We abandon selfish ambition and embrace generous ambition.
We produce more to be able to give more because we believe that there is more blessing than receiving.
When we are not generous, we rob God and ourselves of the opportunity to create a river of blessing and abundance, our selfishness closes the floodgates of His Kingdom and stops the flow of His love to us and to others.

We need to apply the same principles to our businesses for them to become part of the flow of generosity that creates thanksgiving to God.

Have you met Simon, yet?🌱
Simon Badger joined the team as Business Development Manager here at Parable Trust in March 2023, and we’re delighted to share that Simon was unanimously welcomed to the Board in November at our annual Sowers’ and Reapers’ conference!
Simon has a strong Christian faith and has walked with the Lord for over 30 years since his conversion. With an HND and BA(Hons) in business and 25 years of experience within the UK manufacturing and technology sectors, he is fully aligned with the fundamental principles and goal of Parable Trust and is well-placed to build an operations team that will serve the Trust as it continues to grow under the Lord’s hand.
With several acquisitions and investments already under his belt and many more in the pipeline, we’re excited to see what’s in store for 2024!

Where are we looking for pleasure and gratification?
What is the source of our satisfaction and fulfillment?

The psalm encourages us to find it in the Lord; if you delight in Him and have intimacy with God, your desires will be fulfilled.
True delight in Him causes us to take our sight off what we want and redirect our longing for what He desires and is therefore best for us.

The best way to stop fretting is to take our eyes off the circumstances and temptations of the visible and to fix our eyes on Christ and the things that are from above - the true source of blessing, pleasure, and delight.

Rejoice in the Lord always is our choice and don’t mean rejoicing in the problems or negative circumstances we are facing, or when we are facing fiery ordeals and oppositions, but to find in His presence and intimacy a source of joy and peace in the mist of them.

"The new creation spiritual; wrapped in our mortal bodies, challenging us every day to choose between the constraints and limitations of the natural world or the revelation and guidance of the Spirit flowing from within us.

Our souls, emotions, thoughts, and will choose to be either ruled by external stimulation in a constant reaction to it, or to become the manifestation of His Kingdom on earth.

We need to build and develop our lives and identity in new foundations. Love instead of fear, generosity instead of selfishness, living every day in the flow of the Holy Spirit with compassion, kindness, and forgiveness.

God has rescued us from the useless, futile way of living inherited from our forefathers by tradition, into a life full of purpose aligned with His divine nature.

Our professions, businesses, and enterprises, when submit to the rule of the Spirit, become vehicles of transformation for His Kingdom."

Parable are delighted to introduce Laura Andersen the latest addition to our growing team! 🌱
Over the past few months Laura has launched our social media presence and, if you’re on our mailing list, you’ll have already heard from her! You’ll certainly be hearing from her going forwards 😊

With a rich and diverse background, Laura brings a wealth of skills to the Trust including website administration, IT support, invoicing, logistics management, and personal assistant experience. These accumulated skills, together with her strong Christian faith and heart for Kingdom growth, position Laura as an excellent fit for Parable Trust.
We are simply thrilled to have her on board!
