Bath University Guides and Scouts - BUGS

We offer socials, activities, camps, and volunteering opportunities to students at the University of Bath.

We are friendly, we are active, and we have tonnes of fun! BUGS are a mix of students who are interested in the aims, activities and fun that Scouting and Guiding offers. Our programme usually consists of meeting once a week for various activities including adventurous, social, creative and community-orientated. We welcome those who have been or would like to become involved with The Scout Association, Girlguiding and also any other international Guide or Scout Associations. At BUGS you can discover Guiding and Scouting through our social programme with the added option to gain leadership roles. Being a leader is NOT necessary to be a member of BUGS but if you do want to get involved with a local group we have all the contacts and experience to help you with that too. BUGS is affiliated with SSAGO, the Student Scout and Guide Organisation, which connects over 200 students at over 40 Colleges and Universities across Britain. We are invited to 3 national rallies (camps) and 1 formal ball each year which are run at various locations across the country and consist of a weekend of themed fun. Come along to our badge night! Thursday 16th October at 7pm in CB 3.1. There will be Guides and Scouts badge schemes, and lots of creative fun trying to fulfil some, or all, of the clauses to get the badge! (Not actually, but there are prizes for the best attempts!)

Work in teams or alone, bring along your own craft materials, and see what you can create!
