London Ninja Netball Festival

London Ninja Netball Festival Netball Tournament in South West London. Why is this event called 'Ninja Netball'? They turned out to be pretty awesome ninjas!

I'm afraid it's not a new hybrid sport involving ninja leaps, back flips or blade throwing. We decided on the name Ninja Netball Festival because during chemotherapy treatment my son used to imagine different ninjas, soldiers and warriors going into his body each week to fight the tumour with their various weapons. He imagined what uniforms they were wearing and what their special combat skill was

. This helped him take his mind off the fear and pain and empowered him to feel some control over what was happening to his body. The tournament on the 24th June is to raise money so other little warriors out there can beat cancer.
