Friends of St Nicholas Church Ulceby We are a community group working to raise money to improve the condition and facilities at this historic building. St.

Nicholas Church was built nearly 800 years ago on the foundations of a previous Church that appeared in the Domes-day Book. This Church is one of very few in the area to possess a Medieval Spire. Nicholas also known as Nikolaos of Myra was a fourth-century bishop of Myra in what today is southern Turkey. He is a patronage of children, coopers, sailors, fishermen, merchants, broadcasters, the false

ly accused, repentant thieves, pharmacists, archers, pawnbrokers. He had a reputation for secret gift-giving, such as putting coins in the shoes of those who left them out for him, and thus became the model for Santa Claus.
