Periods are a normal part of life, yet stigma still surrounds them. Many young people feel unsure, embarrassed, or left out of conversations about periods.
As a result, lots of girls and young people donβt get the information or support they need to feel confident managing their periods or speaking about them openly.
That's why Girlguiding have teamed up with Plan International UK to bring their Period Proud Peers programme to Guide and Ranger units.
The programme gives young people the opportunity to become a Period Proud Peer and lead fun, friendly, periodβrelated activities within their unit. The aim is to help break down stigma, build confidence, and create safe spaces for open conversations about periods.
If you're interested in attending one of our leader, Ranger or young leader workshops, or in becoming a Proud Period Peer in your unit, register now on our website or speak with your unit leader - https://www.girlguiding.org.uk/what-we-do/events-and-opportunities/event-and-opportunity-finder/period-proud-peer/
