We’re asking for your help to support our fundraising efforts!

We had the wonderful opportunity to be part of the Richmond Voluntary Sector Networking Event on Monday afternoon, where we met so many amazing people who are working hard to support and strengthen our local community. 💙

It was lovely to connect with Julia from The Hygiene Bank, who so kindly supports our Blessing Bag Project. Through her generosity, we’re able to provide essential toiletries to older residents living in care homes.

We also had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Isabella from GLL Richmond, who, with our support, has helped arrange inclusive exercise classes in care homes, giving residents the opportunity to stay active, socialise and enjoy activities tailored to their needs. 💪💙

It’s always inspiring to meet organisations and individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference in our community. Together, we can achieve so much more! 🌟

💌 Help Brighten Someone’s Day

Are you creative and enjoy making handmade cards? Why not join our volunteer team and help spread a little kindness?

We’re looking for individuals and groups to create beautiful handmade cards for care home residents who may feel lonely or isolated. You can get involved from home or as part of a group—whatever works best for you.

We welcome:

Individuals

Schools

Scouts and youth groups

Community groups

Arts and crafts groups

Anyone who enjoys being creative!

A handmade card can bring a smile, brighten someone’s day and remind an older person that they are thought of and cared about.

Join us in using creativity and kindness to make a difference in the lives of older people in our community. ❤️

🚨 URGENTLY NEEDED: BEFRIENDING VOLUNTEERS 🚨

💛 Could you spare just a little time to make a BIG difference to an older person’s life?

We urgently need volunteers to support older residents living in care homes across Richmond borough who are experiencing loneliness and isolation.

For someone who may have few visitors, your regular visit could mean the world. Simply having someone to talk to, share a laugh with or enjoy an activity together can make such a difference. ❤️

There are lots of ways to get involved:
💬 Chat and have a cuppa
🚶 Go for a walk
📖 Read together
🎲 Play games
🎵 Play music or the piano
🤲 Offer gentle hand massage or sensory activities
👥 Join group activities
🌟 Or simply spend some quality time together

No previous experience is needed. We provide full training and ongoing support.

⏰ We need volunteers NOW.

If you have a little time, a kind heart and a willingness to connect with someone who may be feeling alone, we’d love to hear from you.

Are you looking for a new way to make a difference locally?
We have a high demand for more volunteers requested by older care home residents across Richmond borough, who would really value having a befriender to regularly visit them and do an activity together that you both enjoy.
You can get involved in a number of ways - simply chatting to a resident, whether in English or other languages, taking a resident for a walk, reading aloud, playing games, offering hand massages or other sensory care, gardening together, joining group activities, playing the piano and much more.
All our volunteers receive full training and on-going support.

Huge thanks to everyone who came to our Quiz Night last Friday - together you helped raise an amazing £2,000!

As a small charity, your generosity provides vital support to enable us to keep helping local care home residents feel valued, connected and full of hope through our trained volunteer befrienders and our other community-linked projects.

Thank you so much for making it such a fun, sociable evening, and to everyone who made the evening possible - including our amazing volunteer fundraiser Sarah R, our hard-working volunteer team on the night, Surplus to Supper for the delicious buffet, St Stephen's Church, Twickenham for the fabulous venue and all the brilliant local businesses who donated such generous prizes for our raffle.
