The choir thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the Richmond Upon Thames Performing Arts Festival on Tuesday evening.

Our first piece was ‘The Fields of Athenry’, a very moving Irish ballad written by Pete St. John.

Our second piece was the more upbeat and optimistic ‘You Can’t Take That Away from Me’, written by George Gershwin.

The evening was a wonderful celebration of local musical talent, and we were so impressed by the other fantastic choirs who performed, each bringing their own unique style and energy to the stage.

Huge congratulations to all the choirs who took part, including LKWC, The Royal Harmonics, KT6 Vocal Group, London Korean Hummingbird Choir and The Teddingtones.

We’d also like to say a huge thank you to the amazing organisers. We know how much time and dedication goes on behind the scenes, and it truly showed in such a well-run and enjoyable event.

Our free Christmas Carol Concert is tomorrow! Come along and get into the Christmas spirit with a mix of much-loved favourites and one or two carols that may be new to you. There will also be a couple of songs where we’d love our audience to join in and sing along with us.

It promises to be a lovely, festive evening, and we hope to see you there! 🎄

We're returning this year to share some festive cheer with our free Christmas carol concert at the lovely St Philip and St James Church, Whitton from 7.30pm on Tuesday, 9th December!

Everyone is welcome, so save the date and come along for some joyful carols and a mince pie or two to get your in the Christmas spirit.

Any donations or funds raised from refreshments will go directly to our generous hosts, St Philip and St James Church.

Last Saturday, we sang on the Community Stage at the Light Up Whitton event. We had a wonderful time singing festive songs to get everyone into the Christmas spirit, and the atmosphere was fantastic!

A big thank you to Love Whitton for letting us be part of such a special event. It is a great way to bring in the festive season for the community, and we were delighted to be involved.

The choir were delighted to be invited to sing at the May Fair at Ss Philip and James Church, and what a glorious occasion it was! The sun was shining and the crowds were smiling as we entertained them with a number of World War 2 songs, in celebration of the 80th Anniversary of VE Day. We finished with a rousing version of ‘We’ll Meet Again’, with audience participation. The icing on the cake was our conductor Jo Humphrey’s dog, Oscar, winning the “Most Like Owner” category in the dog show! 😊

The Chase Bridge Community Choir were very honoured to be asked to be part of The Poppy Factory’s 80th Anniversary VE Day film. We are absolutely delighted that they decided to use our singing to both open and close the film. It was made even more special by the fact that our accompanist Sam Petchey currently serves in our armed forces, and he conducted this performance. This also meant that our choir director, Jo Humphreys, could sing with the choir. It was a truly special and humbling experience to sing ‘I Vow To Thee My Country’ to mark this very important day, where we give thanks to all of those who made so many sacrifices so that we could enjoy the freedoms we have today.

Happy 80th Anniversary of VE Day!

With thanks to Ss Philip & James Church in Whitton for hosting us in your beautiful church for the recording.
