We are one month away from our summer concert: Anything goes!

We are look forward to performing this entertaining and joyful programme.

One of the composer we are discovering is Irving Berlin who had a very prolific composing career. He wrote around 20 Broadway musicals and composed more than 10 scores for classic Hollywood movie musicals.

We are delighted to have Baritone Dominic Sedgwick joining us for our summer concert at Landmark Arts Centre on Saturday July 11 at 7:30pm.

Dominic has trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Robert Dean.
His well established career has brought a long list of both national and internationally performances in England, Wales, France and Italy.

Did you know that Cole Porter defied the wishes of his grandfather who wanted him to study law and decided to follow music studies?

His first successes came in the 1920s and by the 1930s he had reached notoriety and recognition in the Broadway Musical stage.
He was one of the rare Broadway composers who wrote both the lyrics and the music for his songs.

We look forward to performing many of Cole Porter’s major compositions and more.

Did you know that Guys and Dolls is an adaptation of short stories written by Damon Runyon? The stories which were written in the 1920s and 1930s were all about gangsters, gamblers and New York's underworld.

The musical was premiered on Broadway on November 24, 1950. It was a huge success and it ran for 1,200 more performances!

We are looking forward to performing this fun and joyful composition!

We are looking forward to rehearsing for our next concert at Landmark Arts Centre with our accompanist, Gregory May.

Gregory is a pianist and composer with a particular interest in playing new music. He has just completed his master’s studies in composition with Matthew Kaner at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, generously supported by a Guildhall Scholarship, a Vaughan Williams Bursary, and the Countess of Munster Musical Trust.

His biography is quite impressive and includes a lot of achievements and exciting projects.
