Teddington Choral Society (TCS) is a mixed community choir composed of around 120 singers.

Over the last few years the choir has enjoyed a growing reputation for its repertoire of outstanding contemporary music alongside the established classics. TCS was founded in 1951 and has since performed in some very prestigious venues, including the Royal Albert Hall, the Royal Festival Hall and at Kneller Hall with the Band of the Royal Military School of Music. We have also entertained in Central Hall, Westminster, Alexandra Palace and Kew Gardens and at various prestigious centres outside London. TCS is currently under the direction of Julian Collings since 2019 and Phil Culling is its talented accompanist. TCS performs three concerts a year and punctually gets involved in some charity event. TCS is always on the lookout for new singers, particularly male voices.

And thank you to the supportive and enthusiastic audience.

It was a pleasure to sing in such a lovely venue and be given such a warm reception.

Another constructive and exciting rehearsal last night. We have been looking at our accompanist special piece, A Rose of Gold. Greg’s composition features the Christ child descending from heaven into a bleak, wintery landscape. The last part of the piece leads the audience to a final set of praise and hope.
We are so lucky to have such a talented artist with us in the choir!

Come listen to the World Premiere of A Rose of Gold at All Saints Church Kingston on Saturday 5 December at 7:30pm.

Here one of the lovely pieces we will perform on December 5th All Saints Church Kingston at 7:30pm. This is a beautiful piece based on a poem and part of Tchaikovsky’s Sixteen Children’s songs. The story foreshadows Jesus’s crucifixion. A very poignant composition. Our Christmas programme combines quite some challenging pieces.
We are particularly enjoying learning our accompanist Greg May’s special composition. Based on a poem by William Canton, this carol features Christ child descending from heaven into a bleak, wintery landscape. The ending part leads the audience to a final set of praise and hope.
Such a lovely and exciting piece.

We look forward to performing the Premiere on Saturday 5 December at All Saints Church Kingston at 7:30pm.
