David Adams Appeal We raise money for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity

The David Adams Leukaemia Appeal Fund was set up by Mandie, who was David’s wife, with other close family and friends almost 21 years ago, when he unfortunately lost his battle with leukaemia. Despite doctors giving David ‘no hope’ at the time of his diagnosis, staff at the Royal Marsden Hospital were more tenacious, helping to prolong his life for another two years. In order to ensure others coul

d receive similar support and to help fund further research and equipment, in 1991 Mandie founded The David Adams Leukaemia Appeal Fund to raise money solely for the Royal Marsden Hospital. Since then, the Appeal has raised over £1 million and the money raised has funded research posts, helps support the Nurses’ Library and co-funded a state-of-the-art haemato-oncology unit.
