CODA Tunbridge Wells CODA has been a registered charity since 1983, seeking to encourage young professional musicians and to promote public appreciation of music.

In up to six recitals each year it presents recently graduated young artists as well as welcoming back some of those who have since become very successful.

A reminder about our exciting Summer Solstice themed piano recital this Sunday 21st June, 3pm at Rose Hill School, Tunbridge Wells, TN49SY. Profits will be split equally between CODA (registered charity 286544) and the Hospice in the Weald.

Alexander Metcalfe performs piano works interwoven with Indian ragas that evoke the shifting moods of the night (on harmonium, tanpura and electronics) and accompanied by a film reflecting the unfolding timeframe.

Tickets are £20 in advance or on the door including a glass of wine at the end of the performance.

Our season at Rose Hill School Theatre, Tunbridge Wells closes with a piano recital with a difference on Sunday 21st June.

To celebrate the Summer Solstice, Alexander Metcalfe will present a multimedia recital of classical pieces associated with the dusk, the dead of night and the break of dawn. Performed on piano, harmonium, tanpura and electronics.

The first half will feature works by Chopin, Debussy, Britten, Messiaen, Peter Sculthorpe, Bartok, Wagner and Grieg, interpolated with Indian Ragas reflecting the stages of night. An accompanying film will mirror the timeframe projected by the pieces.

Second half: R. Schumann - Fantasy Pieces Op. 12

Proceeds from the concert will be split between two local charities; Concerts Originaux Des Amis and .

We are very excited to hear the upcoming double bass and piano recital by rising stars Strahinja Mitrovic and Chloe Dumoulin on Sunday 10th May, 3pm at Rose Hill School, Tunbridge Wells. They perform thanks to the generous support of the Countess of Munster Musical Trust.
