Next Friday, 11 September, we’re hosting a very special Harvest Supper at Community Roots: a three-course, plant-based feast created by two guest chefs from Two Trees Catering from Bristol

Known for feeding the likes of the Organic Growers Gathering and the Land Workers Alliance. Two Trees share our commitment to food sovereignty: the belief that people should have access to healthy food, produced through sustainable methods and that communities should have a say in shaping their own food systems. They put local growers, small producers, seasonal ingredients and care for the land at the heart of what they do.

For one evening, our garden’s harvest will travel just a few steps from the soil to the kitchen and then onto our long table. The Two Trees will work their magic with the vegetables, showcasing how exciting and abundant plant-based food can be.

This supper is a celebration of the, soil that sustains us and the joy of eating together. It’s also a chance to show your support for a fairer, more resilient and more connected local food system.

This promises to be a truly special evening and every ticket will help raise vital funds for Community Roots. đź’š

Places around the table are limited, so please book soon!

Something we see regularly at Community Roots, is the power of bringing people together.

Last night was a beautiful example of that, thanks to and her wonderful singers, who gathered at .cornwall for a sea shanty sing song.

Claire and her choirs, The Ingleheart Singers and The Suitcase Singers have chosen Community Roots and as their charities this year, and we feel incredibly honoured to have our work supported and shared by such a wonderful bunch of humans.

Thank you Claire and all your wonderful singers for sharing your people power with Community Roots. ❤️

*the audio on this reel is taken from the choir singing together with children gathered from the audience. A lovely moment đź’š

We are very excited to welcome Charlie and Micky from Two Trees Catering to Community Roots for our Harvest Supper 11th September.

Two Trees are a Bristol-based workers’ co-operative who create delicious, imaginative food using seasonal produce. They love bringing people together through food, supporting communities and connecting what we eat with the land and the seasons.

Charlie brings a lifetime of experience in food, from organic vegetable farms to cafés and restaurants, while Micky combines her love of food, creativity and people with a passion for strengthening communities and creating positive change in our food systems.

Together, they’ll be preparing a very special three-course, plant-based feast for us on Friday 11 September.
