The Mayor's Day Out is back on Tuesday 11th August!

Join the Mayor of Cambridge, on a day out to Great Yarmouth, famed for its beautiful seafront, traditional shops and cafes and Golden Mile of sandy beach.

This day out via coach is for Cambridge City residents aged 55 and over.

Tickets cost £10 and now available at the Clay Farm Centre (cash only please). Tickets are also available to purchase from the Meadows Community Centre, Brown's Field Community Centre and online: https://www.camcityevents.co.uk/events/mayors-day-out-2026

Tickets are on sale until Friday 3rd July.

Kettle's Yard is running a free monthly creative workshop in Cambridge for young people aged 16 to 24 who care for someone at home. It’s a calm, artist led space, with food provided, and friends are welcome too.

The monthly sessions run on Saturdays 11am-2:45pm in the Clore Learning Studio at Kettle's Yard. The workshops this month are on Saturday 13th June and Saturday 27th June.

Trumpington Community Drama Group's next performance is a Summer Showcase! There will be performances from The Greatest Showman, Frozen, Matilda and so many more!

Cambridge City Council are holding a competition! Open to children aged 9 to 11, the task is to design a poster on plain A4 paper that reflects the theme ‘What clean air means to me’.

There will be three winners who'll each receive a £25 token for art and craft supplies, and the chance to come and see their winning posters displayed on air-quality monitors around the city.

The deadline to enter is next week on Monday 8th June so don't miss out!

It was the perfect weather for a holiday lunch at the Trumpington Pavilion today and we hope everyone had a wonderful time!

Thank you to Get Moving Cambridge for providing the outdoor activities including (foam) axe throwing, archery, badminton, and a scavenger hunt. There was also colouring, card making, and Lego for those who wanted some time in the shade.

Thank you once again to Cambridge Sustainable Food for an excellent lunch, we didn't have any leftovers at all!

And at this event we had a surprise appearance from Dilly the Dinosaur, the mascot for Cambridgeshire Libraries. Dilly enjoyed joining in the activities, meeting Clay Bear (who also joined in), and meeting all the children at the event. Dilly was promoting the and we're looking forward to the Summer holidays and hearing about the books you've been reading! You can sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge from 4th July!

On Wednesday 27th May there will different sports and games available on the King George V playing fields from 10:30am and at midday a free holiday lunch from Cambridge Sustainable Food will be served.

This event is free to attend and no prior booking is required.
