On Friday, we hosted the School Games SEND Athletics event at Dauntsey's School.

A huge thank you to YuGo: Exercise Engagement Pioneers for delivering the event and to the fantastic leaders from Dauntsey's for their support throughout the day!

It was brilliant to see so many young people enjoying a wide range of activities both on and off the track.

The feedback from schools says it all:

"We loved the event! For many of our students they have never seen (let alone run on) a proper athletics track – and it was great to see their faces and enjoyment. This is exactly what at SEND sporting event should be, and the inclusivity was great. " – Silverwood School

"Your positivity and that of your colleagues is great. Our students absolutely loved it and it’s such a great experience for them, not just in terms of representing the school but, for many of them, actually going off site to a different venue." – Malmesbury School

We're delighted to hear such positive feedback and hope everyone had a fantastic day!

The winners from each age group were as follows:
KS2 - The Springfields Academy
KS3 - Downland School
KS4 - Royal Wootton Bassett Academy

Last Wednesday, we hosted the GOGA (Get Out Get Active) Access Day at Foundation Park, Swindon.

Working in partnership with Swindon Borough Council, we welcomed 66 pupils with SEND from 26 different schools across Swindon for a day of inclusive physical activity.

Throughout the day, pupils took part in a variety of activity stations, giving them the opportunity to try new activities, build confidence and have fun in a supportive environment.

A huge thank you to the volunteers from St. James’s Place, who supported each activity throughout the day, and to Panathlon Challenge and all the other activity providers who helped make the event such a success.

It was fantastic to see so many young people getting active, trying something new and enjoying a positive day of sport and physical activity!
