At the Troon Men’s Shed meeting on Monday 8th June at 2pm, Maureen Leonard, Chair of Troon Development Trust will give an update on the Trust’s work and projects, including plans for a men’s wellness event. Tea and coffee will be available and non-members are welcome to come along to the meeting at the Lighthouse Christian Centre, Ailsa Road, Troon KA10 6DB.

A number of clubs across Scotland are arriving today for our annual competition.

Racing starts around 10.30 at South Beach.

Why not pop along and say hello and come and admire our fabulous boats. Made in Troon by a bunch of enthusiastic fabulous local heros.

We Bought A Church!

Big news for our community!

We're delighted to share that we have officially finalised a deal with the Church of Scotland to purchase our historic and much-loved Kenmore Kirk.

The keys were handed over today to the new board of trustees — marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our village.

Our next steps will focus on restoring the Kirk to its former glory and ensuring it continues to stand proudly as an important landmark and community space for generations to come.

There's lots more to come, including a celebratory event, fundraising initiatives, and further community consultation later this year.

A huge thank you to the Community Council for leading this complicated initiative, and to SSE Griffin and Calliachar Community Fund for providing the funds to make this possible. Your support has played a vital role in securing the future of our Kirk for the whole community.

With the world feeling more unsafe than ever, confidence, awareness, and knowing how to protect yourself are important life skills for women and young girls of all ages.

Although this is a Mother & Daughter workshop, you do not need to attend with your daughter to take part. You are welcome to come along on your own, with a friend, family member, or training partner. The goal is simply to create a supportive environment where women and young girls can learn valuable self-defence skills together. (Kids 11 years plus welcome)

This is more than just self-defence — it’s about helping people feel stronger, safer, and more confident in everyday life.
