Trafford Strategic Safeguarding Partnership We are a statutory body made up of organisations that work together to safeguard and promote the welfare of adults, children, young people and their families.

Our role is to coordinate and ensure effective safeguarding across the borough of Trafford. Children's First Response is Trafford’s single point of contact for all professionals and members of the public to report concerns, request advice and share information about a child and/or family. If you think that you or a child is in immediate danger - don’t delay call the police on 999

If you are a me

mber of the public who has a concern about a child, and they are not at immediate risk of harm, you should call Trafford Children's First Response on 0161 912 5125 during office hours (Mon - Fri 8:30 - 4:30) or 0161 912 2020 out of hours (Emergency Duty Team). If you are worried about the safety or wellbeing of yourself or another adult then please contact the Initial Assessment Team on 0161 912 2820 during the day, or 0161 912 2020 if it’s an emergency at night or weekend. If you or another adult is in immediate danger, then call the police on 999.

Parents and carers, we know it can be tough to cope with a baby that cries a lot—it can feel exhausting and lonely. Remember to support each other. You are not alone.

Crying is normal, and you are not a bad parent or carer. It’s okay to take a time out when you feel overwhelmed. Keep your baby safe and keep yourself safe too.
