Currently, over 1 million young people across the UK are excluded from work and training. A combination of worsening mental health issues, disruption caused by AI, and the rapid changes in the skills employers require has left a whole generation feeling trapped and unheard.

We refuse to stand by and watch a generation be written off.

Through our NEET 2 Neat Solutions programme, Access UK is bridging the gap. We offer holistic support, personalised coaching, and practical tools to help young people overcome barriers and build sustainable careers.

Help keep this vital support alive. Donate today to support our frontline servicesโ€”every contribution helps us transform futures.

๐Ÿ“š Before colonial rule, the Kingdom of Benin was home to extraordinary art, infrastructure, craftsmanship and systems of governance โ€” a history that deserves to be known far beyond the stories we are usually taught.

In this powerful piece, Abir Ibrahim explores the remarkable legacy of the Kingdom of Benin, from its vast earthworks and the world-renowned Benin Bronzes to what their history reveals about wealth, innovation and organised societies in pre-colonial Africa.

It is also a story of loss. Thousands of Benin Bronzes were removed following the British invasion of Benin in 1897, and many remain in collections outside Nigeria today.

Black history is not only a history of struggle. It is also a history of civilisation, creativity, knowledge, power and achievement.

๐Ÿš€ She looked beyond the limits โ€” and made history.

In 1992, Dr Mae Jemison became the first Black woman to travel into space, flying aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour.

But her journey didnโ€™t begin at NASA. Before becoming an astronaut, Mae trained as a doctor and served as a Peace Corps medical officer in Sierra Leone and Liberia. She went on to build a career spanning science, medicine, technology and education โ€” showing just how far curiosity, determination and ambition can take you.

Mae Jemisonโ€™s story is a powerful reminder for the next generation: you donโ€™t have to limit your dreams to what youโ€™ve already seen someone like you achieve.

Representation matters. Ambition matters. And sometimes, being the first means making sure you wonโ€™t be the last.

โœจ Your potential is limitless.
