The current renovation project is the ancient pool at the top of the garden, host to a wealth of wildlife including slow worms, frogs and tadpoles, fuzzy bottomed bumble bees and plenty of birds. We were awarded a £50,000 community space grant which funded;
-a play structure from a eucalyptus tree
-stone wall around the wonderful herb garden
-pergola on entry to the garden
-fantastic art scupltures that echo the gardens history, designed by Buckfastleigh artist Rosie Musgrave
-public seating
Current fundraising events have included the Spring Event which was bustling with life all day- we had cakes, plant stalls, refreshments amongst other local produce. There is a plant stall with an honesty box open through out the day and constantly restocked- all proceeds go towards the pool renovation.
