Myself and Colette Murphy are delighted to be able to offer a FREE 6-week outdoor programme for Year 7 young people, made possible thanks to the The National Lottery Community Fund support. 💚

Starting secondary school is a huge transition — and for young people with SEN or who are neurodivergent, it can sometimes feel particularly overwhelming.

Finding Strength in Nature offers something a little different.

🐴 Time with animals
🌱 Horticulture and growing
🍎 Seasonal outdoor activities
🍂 Nature, fresh air and space to be themselves
💚 Gentle opportunities to build confidence, resilience, emotional regulation and social connection

📅 Sunday mornings from late September
📍 Athena paddock wood, Kent
💷 FREE – with a one off £5 donation requested where possible

We’d love to hear from parents, carers, schools, SENCOs and local organisations who know a Year 7 young person who might benefit.

We are getting ready to offer places to our second group of horticulturists 🌱

- our pumpkins planted by our last group should hopefully be ready for Halloween 💪
- 🐓🥚we never quite know where our chickens have laid their eggs 🤣 and always need some help with collecting them 💕

🐴🐴 Ricardo and Mini enjoy meeting some new friends.

We are offering fully funded places with a small upfront donation to Athena thanks to the The National Lottery Community Fund supported by We Waste Ltd and BNI Kent 'Local Business - Global Network' for a new 6 week programme starting end of September.

🌱 Growing More Than Just Vegetables here at Accelerated Insights together with ZenSen Psychology and With Nature: Forest School and Wild Beach 🌱

Every tomato, every pumpkin, every new shoot tells a story 🍅🎃

Our SEND project, made possible thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, is giving children far more than the opportunity to grow fruit and vegetables.

The children are growing in 💚 confidence and knowledge with lots of pride in what they’ve achieved.

From planting tiny seeds to watching the vegetables flourish, each step is a chance to spend time in nature, learn, explore and experience success in a way that suits every individual child.

Wow what a busy fun packed morning 🍦🍧🌻🍀🐴

Wonderful to be on our third programme of nature therapy for young neurodiverse young people experiencing challenges at school this morning.

ZenSen Psychology and With Nature: Forest School and Wild Beach at Aahep: Association for Animals, Horticultural & Equine Practitioners this morning.

Our thanks goes out to those that have helped us to make this happen, We Waste Ltd, Lucy Cameron from BNI Kent 'Local Business - Global Network' Pembury chapter and Graeme Green.
