What a busy and productive Monday for Tod Kindness Crew! 💪❤️
The day started with a small paid job for Todmorden Town Council, installing a soap dispenser and blue roll holder at the new bowling green pavilion in the park. As the work fell on a TKC day, the payment will be donated back into kindness crew🙏
Next up was fitting a new fly screen and giving a back garden a much-needed sweep, tidy-up and rubbish clear-out.
The team then headed to Mytholmroyd for a larger garden project and were delighted to have Suzanne Archer back in action, joined by Graham and Deborah from Rooting 4 Change. Together they gathered and bagged rubbish, dodged the bees that had taken up residence in a pile of rotten cardboard 😬🐝, lopped, strimmed, sheared, chopped back brambles and cleared pathways.
By the end of the session, the garden was tidy, rubbish-free and looking much more manageable.
A massive thank you to Suzanne, Graham and Deborah for all their hard work and good humour throughout the day. 🙏❤️💪
After a quick tip run to dispose of the garden waste, the team also made a start on a bathroom cabinet installation at another property. It turned out to be a rather fiddly job, but good progress was made towards creating a more practical and functional space. 🥳
With more gardening projects planned in Todmorden and Mytholmroyd next week, and plenty of other jobs already lining up, it’s shaping up to be another busy week.
A huge thank you to everyone who volunteers, supports, donates, shares posts, or simply cheers the team on. You help make all of this possible. 🙏❤️
