Just a reminder that it is Yorkshire Day, and this evening a number of teams will be out and about in Tickhill doing our annual treasure hunt.
I can’t tell you where you’ll spot them without giving away the route, but they are starting and finishing from the Scout HQ!

25/07/2026

Only a week to go until our Yorkshire Day Treasure Hunt and Quiz Night with Pie and Pea supper at Tickhill’s Scout & Guide HQ.

We do have a small number of tickets at £10 still available, but we do need to give final numbers to Fentons first thing on Tuesday so if you would like to join us please comment here or ring/text Paula on 07921 215130. (Vegetarian/gluten free option available thanks to Lisa@lotties)

If you’d just like to do the treasure hunt you can turn up on the night between 6pm and 7.15pm and it’s £5 per team.

We have been made aware that St Mary’s school have stated on their newsletter that this weekend is the Scarecrow Festival. IT’S NOT!

Scarecrow Festival is 16th/17th May as usual.

🇬🇧Tickhill has today been ‘dressed’ for the summer with our flags flying in the sunshine against blue skies.
We wanted them up in time for May Day, the 3rd anniversary of our Kings Coronation and VE Day ahead of Tickhill’s Art Exhibition and then our Scarecrow Festival.
Flags will be flying throughout the summer months, we hope that Tickhill enjoy them.

Thanks as always to John at Military Precision for helping us to make this happen 🇬🇧

Are you planning to make a Scarecrow this year?
Please let us know if you are, so we can ensure you are on the map.
We would love a few more Scarecrows, and you still have a couple of weeks to be creative if you’d like to join in the fun 🤩
