Our Givjng Tree fundraiser 🎄

Eco-minded pupils and staff at Melvich Primary School raised over £200 for a Highland-wide charity who provide therapeutic horse-riding activities to people with developmental and physical disabilities.

🌟 A huge gigantic thank you from all of us at the Parent Council to everyone who has supported our venison sale this year - whether buying sausages and haunch roasts, driving deliveries or passing on the good word to boost our sales 🦌

We have made an incredible £1766 all in once the final payments are made and in a record breaking time this year too. We sold all of the venison (another Guinness world record in a full 7 beasts, courtesy of the very generous folks at Bighouse Estate) in less than 48 hours ⏱

It really is a mammoth effort and we're grateful to everyone for their help and investment - especially at this time of year. The fundraising drive over the last month between the coffee morning and the sale has meant that we have made over £3000 to support, enrich and expand all the learning experiences of the Melvich kids over the next year. The difference this money makes is very real and we are in awe of our brilliant community 🙏

📣 Edit/update: We’re already sold out of stewing steak and the larger sausages packs (10). This must be a new record!! Thank you so much to everyone so far. Still lots of lovely roasts, fillets, burgers, rump and mince waiting!

🦌✨OUR VENISON SALE IS NOW LIVE! 🦌✨

With thanks, once again, to Bighouse Estate for their incredible generosity, we now have some prime Strath Halladale venison all set and ready for good homes!

Mince, Sausages (bags of 6 or 10), Burgers, Stewing Steak, Fillets, Rump Steak and Roasts are all available but will move very fast so don't delay if you would like to place an order.

All funds raised will go towards ensuring all the activities, supplies and school adventures the kids (and teachers) could ask for all year and your support is very gratefully received 🙏

Collection will have to be tomorrow Thursday 11th (all morning until 11am) or Friday 12th (until 12pm) at the school. Everything must go and it must go fast!

Please DM your order if you have one - nothing is confirmed until we confirm stock. Please do not make a payment by bank transfer until the order is confirmed.

🦌🎄It's that time of year again... The annual Melvich Primary Parent Council venison sale is coming soon.🎄🦌

Early next week soon, in fact!

As with every year, we are incredibly grateful for the support Bighouse Estate show us every year with this donation. The funds raised go a long way to providing the kids at Melvich School with as many school resources, opportunities, trips and support that they might need throughout the year. It's vital and important and we are endlessly thankful for their generosity, and of course, the generosity of everyone who buys from us.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our Coffee Morning today!
Between the raffle, 100 squares and door contributions we raised a massive £1300 which will go a very long way to contributing to the school year for our kids. It means so much and we are very grateful to everyone who clapped, sang along, brought cakes, made the teas, had a chat, bought a ticket and especially everyone who ventured out in the wild winds.

🎄 We are so grateful for the incredible response to our Christmas Coffee Morning so far - thank you to everyone who has donated raffle prizes, bought tickets and brought delicious cakes or biscuits to the school 🍰

🎅🧑‍🎄 Special thanks today to Paul and Flora at West End Stores - thanks to them, not only is there a fabulous bottle of Dalwhinnie waiting for a lucky raffle winner but they have also been hot housing raffle tickets and 100 squares to sell for the coffee morning. Which means a) they always go above and beyond to help and b) you can still buy both raffles and 100 squares in the shop.

✨ Don’t forget, our Christmas Coffee Morning is taking place tomorrow Friday 28th November from 10am to 12pm. If you’re free, please come along for a mince pie and some brilliant Christmas songs from our very excited school kids Entrance £5. ✨

✨🎄Get a big bit festive and enjoy some early Christmas cheer with our fundraising Christmas Coffee Morning! 🎄✨

Joine us at the school between 10am and 12pm on Friday 28th for some excellent coffee, tea and home baking. The children will be performing Christmas songs and we'll have our annual raffle fundraiser.

🪙 Entrance is £5 donation per person for all your drinks, cakes and festive entertainment!

🎄✨We will be having a Christmas Coffee morning on Friday 28th November at 10am!

🎶 During the coffee morning the children will sing some Christmas songs.

🎟️ There will be a raffle and 100 squares for sale. Please pop in any donations for the raffle.

🧁 We also need donations for the coffee morning of biscuits, shortbread, mince pies, shop bought cakes etc.

The Pupil Council will be putting flyers and posters around the village. Please encourage any friends or family to come along. If you cannot make the morning but would like to buy raffle tickets, please get in touch and we can arrange these to be sent home.

🙏 Our Christmas fundraising events ensure we are able to fund trips, resources and treats for all the children throughout the year. Please give generously.

The Christmas season beckons in the far north and for Melvich Primary and ELC pupils, ‘tis already the season to be jolly.

The school has been participating in Blythswood’s annual Shoe Box Appeal as the designated collection point for the surrounding area.
