Has your junior recently reached one of these milestones?

🏃🏃‍♀️ 10 junior parkruns
🏃 🏃‍♀️25 junior parkruns
🏃🏃‍♀️ 50 junior parkruns
🏃🏃‍♀️ 100 junior parkruns
🙌 10 junior park run volunteer credits – Volunteer milestone

If your junior has reached a milestone and hasn’t yet received their wristband, please email us at [email protected] and let us know. We can then make sure we have it ready to hand out this Sunday! 🎉

We still have lots of the old-style wristbands too, including the Half Marathon (11 parkruns) and Marathon (21 parkruns) , so we’re very happy to continue celebrating those as well. 💙

Whether you’re a regular volunteer or have never volunteered before, we’d love to have you. There are lots of different roles available, and no experience is needed — we’ll show you everything you need to know. 🙌

It’s a brilliant way to support the children, cheer them on and be part of our amazing junior parkrun community! 🥰

We had another brilliant morning at junior parkrun yesterday! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

A huge well done to the 73 amazing runners who joined us, supported by 21 fantastic volunteers who made the event possible. Thank you all! 💙

We were a little quieter than usual - we’re guessing there were a few well-deserved lie-ins after England’s fantastic result on Saturday! 😄⚽

We’d like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that junior parkrun is about children having fun, building confidence, and enjoying being active in a safe, supportive and welcoming environment. Aggressive or intimidating behaviour, towards children, volunteers or anyone else, has no place at our event.

Thank you to the overwhelming majority of our runners, families and volunteers who make junior parkrun such a positive and encouraging community every single week. We really appreciate everything you do to help create such a special atmosphere.

See you all soon! 🌳💙

💙 A little volunteer appeal 💙

As many of you know, junior parkrun simply can’t happen without our amazing volunteers. We’re always incredibly grateful to everyone who gives up a little time on a Sunday morning to help make the event possible.

We’d like to ask our wonderful parkrun families to consider whether there might be an opportunity for you to help too.

👨‍👩‍👧 If both parents/carers usually come along, could one of you volunteer while the other runs with or supports your child?

👶 If you’re bringing a younger sibling who isn’t running yet, could one parent and little one help out on a marshal point? Marshal roles are simple, fun, and mostly involve cheering, clapping and encouraging our runners as they go past. It’s a lovely way to be involved in the morning.

Most roles are done and dusted within 45 minutes.

Even volunteering just once every few weeks can make a huge difference and helps ensure we have enough people to run the event safely each week.

If you’d like to find out more about any of the roles, please send us a message or email us at [email protected]. We’d love to welcome some new faces to the volunteer team!

Thank you for helping us keep junior parkrun going strong for all our young runners. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️💙

A big thank you, as always, to our amazing volunteers who made the event possible. We couldn't do it without you. 💙

Unfortunately, there was a small issue with the results processing today. We have done our best to correct everything, but if you think your result is incorrect or missing, please email [email protected] and we'll investigate.

Have a great week, and we'll see you all next Sunday! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️
