The food bank is open for collection of food parcels Thursday 12.00 - 1.00pm, if you need more information or advice please don't hesitate to message. We do ask for referrals to ensure provision is made to those who are genuinely struggling.

Thornaby Foodbank supports residents across TS17 (Ingleby Barwick / Thornaby) who are struggling with food poverty, at this time of year the number of requests for help from local residents increases dramatically. The service we provide is entirely free of charge including a hot cup of tea or coffee in friendly environment where clients can sits, relax and chat to others.

Thornaby Foodbank is run entirely by volunteers, who all give their time freely to help other members of our community. Every single item donated is passed on to a local person / family who finds themselves struggling.

We are truly grateful for the help and support of these 3 young men and their boss from B A Joinery for arranging to pickup food items and deliver to the Foodbank. Thank you to our generous supporters who have given donations which has made this large purchase of food possible. As mentioned on a previous post, food has been flying off our shelves due to an increase of local residents across TS17 seeking assistance therfore leaving the food bank short of a number of items. What an amazing community we live in. Thank you everyone.

We are grateful for all donations, which can be left directly at the food bank Wednesdays 10.30 - 12.00 and Thursdays 10.00 - 12.00.

Food is flying off the shelves faster than we can fill them! Sadly we are experiencing a drastic rise in requests for support as the current ongoing rise in the cost of living hits us all.

Please remember Thornaby Foodbank provides emergency support to residents across TS17 - Thornaby / Ingleby Barwick who are experiencing food poverty.

Special thanks to St Mark's & St Peter's Church, Thornaby and Layfield Primary School, Yarm, for their generous and most welcome donations plus of course everyone who kindly supports Thornaby Foodbank without your generosity we truly couldn't do what we do without you.

Sadly we are really struggling for donations at the moment, if you can help we would sincerely appreciate it.

Currently we are extremely low on - breakfast cereal, tinned vegetables, tomatoes, beans, soup, sandwich spread, pasta sauce, pasta, rice, biscuits, rice pudding, jam, any tinned deserts, tea bags/coffee/Juice.

The cost of living is rising every day, the number of requests for support from local residents across TS17 (Thornaby / Ingleby Barwick) is increasing dramatically.

Currently the food bank is running extremely low on a number of items, especially:

Pasta, Pasta Sauce, tinned vegetables, rice pudding
