** Opportunity to hear a talk by Mary Newton, a well known forensic scientist **

The WI have arranged for Mary to give a presentation at 2pm on June 10th at the Trust Hall

Mary is now retired, but with a career lasting approx 40 yrs, she has worked on a wide range of cases, including some high-profile ones!
The talk promises to be both interesting and fascinating.

Entry is £5 (which includes tea and cake) and proceeds will go towards the kitchen renovation fund.

At our meeting on Wednesday 9th February, Alison Hurley will hold a simple art class for us to participate in. No experience needed and it will not be judged. It will just be for fun. All materials provided.

Wednesday 14th January at 2pm, we will hold our first Shottisham WI meeting of the year. We will make the hall as warm as possible, with extra heaters on too, but do ensure you wear plenty of layers!

Our speaker will be Simon Hooten with a presentation entitled "The secret lives of swifts".

We will discuss the 5 proposed WI Resolutions in the campaign this year.
The resolutions are.
1) Accessible Public Toilet Facilities to Promote Dignity, Health and Social Inclusion.
2) Action on Women's Homelessness.
3) Nearer to Nature.
4) Love your V***a-Self Checking is your Best Defence against V***a Cancer.
5) Every Child Needs a Friend.
