Wow what words!!!!......So sad to have to share this.......Alrhough the majority of pepole are happy to join the Pride of Yorkshire and enjoy seeing all the Lions, Lionesses and Cubs, it appears that a very small minority think it is okay to inflict damage......I feel absolutely gutted for the Artist and the Sponsors of this Lioness, lets hope it isn't too long before she is back and part of The Pride of Yorkshire

🦁 We’re really saddened to share that one of our beautiful Pride of Yorkshire lionesses has been damaged overnight in Sheffield and has been temporarily removed from the trail.

Created by a talented artist, sponsored by a local business and already loved by so many visitors in the first few days, we know many families will be disappointed not to see her this weekend.

Our team is already working with Simpson Patterns to repair her and return her to the trail as soon as possible. The incident has also been reported to South Yorkshire Police.

Despite this, we’ve been completely overwhelmed by the incredible response to Pride of Yorkshire so far. It’s been amazing to see families, friends and communities exploring South Yorkshire, collecting lions and sharing your brilliant photos and trail adventures in support of Sheffield Children’s 💙

As you’re out enjoying the trail, please help us look after the sculptures so they can be enjoyed by as many people as possible this summer.

You can find one of these special post boxes on our book swap shelf at Morrisons Ecclesfield.....please fill in a card with your memories of Sheffield Children's Hospital NHS and Charity .......The hospital is celebrating it's 150th Anniversary and the Charity it's 50th, so there must be millions of memories out there waiting waiting to be shared

Tomorrow is the official start of The Pride of Yorkshire in support of The Sheffield Children's Hospital NHS and Charity and tonight we were out and about in Sheffield City Centre to unveil our Lion.

Luckily it had been left covered so that we could do the official unveiling and reveal our Dreaming Lion to Sheffield and South Yorkshire.

You can find The Dreaming Lion at St Paul's Place, very close to the Peace Gardens, it has been sponsored by Morrisons Community Champions from Catclffe, Ecclesfield, Halfway and Meadowhead and money raised through the Pride of Yorkshire will support the renovation of the Emergency Department at The Sheffield Children's Hospital.

The Pride will be on the streets of South Yorkshire until September, so you have plenty of time to join the trail and spot all of the 150 Lions and Lionesses and maybe the 150 Lion Cubs too....🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁

It's official.....we are sponsoring a Lion as part of in support of Sheffield Children's Hospital NHS and Charity

The Pride of Yorkshire starts on Monday 8th June and you can find our Lion at St Paul's Place in Sheffield City Centre......He is called The Dreaming Lion and represents the hopes of all fans as we go into the World Cup this Summer.

To support our fundraising efforts we have designed Lion keyrings which I have on sale in-store, there are two designs and are £3 each, with proceeds going to The Sheffield Children's Hospital Charity.

We hope you can make it to see our Lion in the Pride and if you do please post a photo to this page, we would love to see them..🦁🦁🦁🦁
