What a privilege it is to be part of this next chapter for Elmbridge’s Connected Communities initiative. We’re incredibly honoured to be named as one of the first partners and to work alongside such dedicated organisations striving to make our borough more welcoming, inclusive and resilient.

At Elevate Elmbridge, we’re excited to help shape the Weybridge Hub — a space designed around sustainability, community support and meaningful connection. From a community-focused shop to SEND support and therapy services, we look forward to building something that truly reflects local needs and values.

Congratulations as well to St Peter’s West Molesey and The Friends of the Molesey Centre on the Molesey Hub. It’s inspiring to see such commitment to accessible, intergenerational community spaces, and we’re proud to be on this journey together.

There is still much work ahead, but today marks a wonderful step forward. We can’t wait to continue collaborating and contributing to stronger, more connected communities across Elmbridge.

We’re taking the next step in our Connected Communities initiative.
Five partners have been successful in their bid to help us create welcoming and inclusive Community Hubs designed around local needs, and where people can connect, access support and thrive.
There’s still work to do on legal and governance processes, so we’ll announce all partner names in the new year. For now, we’re excited to confirm our first partners:
✅ Weybridge Hub: Elevate Elmbridge is planning a community shop with a sustainability focus, SEND support, therapy services and more.
✅ Molesey Hub: St Peter’s West Molesey will be creating a hub with an affordable café, family activities, play space and a vibrant programme for older residents with Friends of the Molesey Centre.
The first hubs are expected to open from spring 2026. Follow their progress as we build stronger, more connected communities together.
Services at our Centres for the Community will continue throughout the transition period. Find out more at https://ow.ly/fq6a50XInkN

📣 Announcement: Elevate Elmbridge Secures the Weybridge Community Centre

We’re delighted to share that Elevate Elmbridge — the social enterprise created by the founder of Waste to Plate — has won the bid to take on the Weybridge Community Centre.

This is a major step forward for our community. The Centre will become an inclusive, vibrant space for local residents, volunteers, and partners to connect, learn, and thrive.

What this means
• A hub for community activities, wellbeing projects, and collaboration
• A space shaped with the community and for the community
• The launch of a Waste to Plate Community Shop as part of the Centre’s offering
• More opportunities for volunteers to get involved

Thank you to everyone who has supported this journey. Further updates, timelines, and volunteer opportunities will be shared here soon.

Together, we’re building something exceptional for Elmbridge.

Whilst Elevate Elmbridge CIC is in the throes of submitting a proposal to manage the community centres in Claygate, Cobham, Hersham, Molesey, Walton, and Weybridge, we want to ensure our plans reflect what you — the community — would love to see.

Our vision is for these centres to be welcoming, vibrant spaces for everyone — places that bring people together, support wellbeing, inspire learning, and strengthen community connection across Elmbridge. 💚

Before we finalise our proposal, we’d love to hear your thoughts and ideas. Your input will help us shape our proposal for community centres that truly belong to us all.

🗣️ If you could take a couple of minutes to complete our short survey here we'd appreciate it

We’re submitting a proposal to run the local community centres (Claygate, Cobham, Hersham, Molesey, Walton and Weybridge) and want to ensure they truly reflect the needs, interests, and priorities of the people who use them. At this stage, we’re gathering ideas and feedback from the community to...

🌿 A Community Centre That Belongs to Everyone 🌿

We believe every community deserves a place that truly feels like home — a space that welcomes everyone, sparks ideas, and helps people connect in meaningful ways.

That’s the vision we’re putting forward in our proposals for the future of local community centres — vibrant hubs designed by and for the people who live and work here.

✨ Imagine this:
Bright, modern spaces filled with natural light, colour, and warmth.
Places that invite creativity, connection, and conversation.
Flexible spaces for art, workshops, pop-ups, food, play — and the unexpected moments in between.

It’s not just about how it looks — it’s about how it feels:
Welcoming, inclusive, and full of positive energy.
A space where everyone — of every age and background — has a voice, a role, and a sense of belonging.

You’d hear laughter, live music, storytelling, shared ideas — the sound of a community that truly cares.

We’re currently in the proposal stage, but we want to start as we mean to go on: with transparency, collaboration, and community at the heart of everything we do.

💬 So tell us — what would you love to see in your community centre?
What would make it a place you’d want to spend time, connect, or create?

Whether our proposal is successful or not, we’ll know we did this the right way — together with you.
