We also welcomed some new visitors.

Julie from welcome St George’s was unavailable due to other commitments.
Paula MS manager and Lisa attended to collect their cheque for the MS centre.
Emma head of audiences and communications from the Grand theatre collected the cheque on behalf of the dementia cafe at the theatre.

Our Speaker Madeline Taylor talked about The History of Beatties. Madeline joined the company at 24 as an assistant training manager. Several WI members had also worked there. She spoke about the strict dress code. She gave many interesting anecdotes. It was an entertaining and informative

Tettenhall and District WI had their monthly meeting on Monday 9th February.
Willian king was our speaker with a very interesting and informative talk on Boscabel house in Bishops Wood Staffordshire.
An amazing house on our doorstep.

Boscobel House and its Royal Oak tree played a starring role in English history when, in 1651, it became a refuge for Charles II. He was fleeing for his life after his Civil War defeat at the Battle of Worcester.
Charles hid for 14 hours in the Royal Oak before spending a cramped night in a still-visible priest’s hole. There are lots of fun interactive touches to help families follow the king’s story.

Thank you William for a very entertaining evening and slide show.

A beautiful basket of flowers was presented to Jean one of our WI ladies who has been raffle lady for several years and now passed it on to another lady name Jean thank you both for your support and help in organising our raffle prizes.
Thank you to the tea fairies for tea and cakes
Happy Birthday was sung to Cath whose birthday was on Monday πŸ‘πŸ‘
Thank you to everyone who came on Monday.
