Just a reminder to register your interest for the Property Flood Resilience Scheme.

James Turner from the EA popped in to see us today to remind us.

It’s FREE to have a survey done of your home or business, as well as provision supplied for defence to help against flooding if suitable for the building.

Also to point out you can have a survey done, even if you are only the tenant of the building.

Since our last post in September, we’re pleased to share that 31 grants have now been paid out, with funds still available to support another four households affected by the flooding.
Yesterday marked another special moment for our team. Now that we have official charity status, we’ve been able to access the generous funds raised by Tesco Tenbury Wells for local flood victims — a total of £440.27.
We met with store manager Jamie to receive the cheque and to learn more about how this wonderful fundraising came about.
Jamie shared that many of the Tesco colleagues were personally affected by the floods and wanted to do something meaningful to help others in the community. On the day of the floods, Tesco immediately donated essential cleaning products for those in need, and it was clear how many people had been impacted.
In the days that followed, the team decided to organise a charity bike ride, along with collection buckets at the tills — and customers responded with incredible generosity. Jamie told us, “It was our colleagues who really drove the fundraising — we just wanted to help out, as so many of us and our customers were affected. We’re part of this community too.”
A huge thank you to everyone at Tesco Tenbury Wells — colleagues and customers alike — for their kindness, teamwork, and community spirit. 💙
Together, we continue to make a difference.

We’re pleased to share the latest update from the group.
So far, we have awarded 31 grants of £250 each, and we have enough funds to cover 3 more grants.
We’re also very close to completing the process of becoming a registered charity, which we expect to be finalised by mid-October. Once we achieve charity status, we’ll be able to access additional funding, allowing us to expand the support we can offer.
Thank you for your continued encouragement and support as we move into this next stage.
