Afghan Telford Community Meeting & Recognition of Our Young Cricketers 🇦🇫🤝🇬🇧
Today, members of the Afghan Telford Community came together for a community meeting to discuss a number of important matters concerning our community. Members shared their views, discussed the issues raised, and agreed on a number of points and ways forward.
At the conclusion of the meeting, we were also delighted to hold a small celebration to recognise the achievements of our young boys who recently participated in cricket matches and achieved excellent results. 🏏🏆
The boys were presented with trophies and certificates of appreciation in recognition of their hard work, commitment and the positive way they represented our community.
The Head of the Community congratulated them and shared a few words of encouragement, reminding our young people to make the most of the opportunities available to them, work hard in their education and sports, respect their parents, teachers and coaches, and always represent themselves, their families, our community and Afghanistan with respect, dignity and good character.
He also encouraged all other young people to be inspired by the achievements of their friends and to continue working towards their own goals. We hope that in the future we will celebrate many more achievements in education, sport, volunteering and community service.
Congratulations once again to our young cricketers, and thank you to all community members who attended and contributed to today’s meeting.
May Allah grant all our young people continued success and a bright future. 🤲🇦🇫🏏🏆
