Everyone needs a little support sometimes.

We're proud to introduce The Kindness Corner at Hub on the Hill, a simple space where anyone can take what they need, no questions asked.

Whether it's toiletries, hygiene products, household essentials or other useful items, if something on the table could help you or your family, please help yourself. That's exactly what it's there for.

💚 Just kindness

We know that life can be challenging for anyone, and sometimes a small gesture can make a big difference. The Kindness Corner is built on the belief that communities are strongest when we look out for one another.

If you're in a position to donate, we'd also be incredibly grateful for unopened toiletries, hygiene products and everyday essentials to help keep the corner stocked for those who need it.

Help Us Shape the Future of Your Community Hub

You're a tough Crowd! So we've been busy dreaming up new activities, groups, clubs and events that we think are missing and we'd love to bring to YOU Sutton Hill.

From music clubs to quiz nights, fitness sessions to film afternoons, support groups to social events, we've got lots of ideas... but before we launch them, we NEED to hear from YOU!

Would you come along?

Whether you're looking for something in the morning, afternoon or evening, whether you're young, old or somewhere in between, we'd love to know what interests you.

Take a look through our ideas and let us know:

We have around a year before the Hub undergoes its exciting refurbishment, and we want to make the absolute most of that time.

Our goal is simple:

To make sure Hub on the Hill is a place for the whole community, not just a small part of it.

We want to create opportunities for people to connect, learn, laugh, stay active, receive support and make new friends right here in Sutton Hill.

No Barriers. No Fuss. Just Community.

Where there is a charge, it will be kept as low as possible and will only cover the basics needed to run the activity.

Many activities may even be completely free.

We believe cost should never be a barrier to getting involved, meeting people or trying something new.

Janet has been caught red-handed pulling that face again... 😳👇

She's currently stationed in the Anstice Ballroom, armed with popcorn, sweets, and a facial expression that can only be described as "I've just seen the price of Freddos in 2026."

As part of my Community Conversations work, I've been reading through your feedback and ideas about what you'd like to see available at Hub on the Hill.

The good news? Some of the most requested services and activities are already running right here in the community! 💚

📚 **Community Library**
FREE to use and open to everyone.

🎨 **Over 60's Wellbeing & Crafts Group**
FREE to attend and includes a FREE lunch.

🧘 **Wiggle & Giggle**
Gentle exercise for all ages and abilities. FREE to attend and includes tea, coffee and biscuits afterwards.

💇 **V.Stylz Hair Salon**
Friendly, local hairdressing services right here at the Hub.

🚶 **Walking Ramblers**
FREE walking group with a special coffee and cake deal afterwards for just £2.

☕ **Community Café**
Pop in for a drink, a bite to eat or grab food to take away.

One thing the feedback has highlighted is that we need to do a better job of shouting about the fantastic things already happening here! 📣

So if you've been telling me you'd like to see more opportunities to socialise, keep active, access affordable services, meet new people or simply get out of the house, why not come along and give one of these a try?

And don't worry... I'm still working through all of the other suggestions too. Some fantastic ideas have been shared so far and I'll be exploring how we can make as many of them happen as possible. 🌱

Thank you to those who have fed back already, there are some great ideas and thankfully, a lot of services we are already running from the hub have been suggested.

As part of the exciting developments happening at Hub on the Hill, I am gathering views, ideas and honest feedback from residents to help shape future projects, activities, support and opportunities within our community.
