We are called to live and love as Jesus did, to go to the hardest places, stand with the most vulnerable, and refuse to accept lives being destroyed by extreme poverty. We tackle poverty and injustice through sustainable development, by responding to disasters and challenging injustice. Thousands of people needlessly suffer and die every day because of poverty. But that’s not God’s plan for the world. And God is calling you – all of us – to reach out to people in greatest need. We partner with local churches and organisations who have a crucial role to play in the places worst affected by poverty.

A huge well done to our brilliant Thames Trek team! 👏
Cathy, Chris, Jamie and Ignatius took on the challenge to raise money for Tearfund – inspired by the communities and stories behind our work.

For Cathy and Jamie, a recent visit to Zimbabwe showed them what can happen when local churches and communities are equipped to create change. They saw people growing food, building livelihoods and sharing what they had learned with others.

Jamie said he wanted to do his part to ‘unlock transformation for more people’, while Ignatius hopes their efforts will inspire others to fundraise too.

Together, the team has raised £1,360 so far! 🎉
A massive thank you to everyone who walked, donated and cheered them on.

When disasters like conflict and sudden floods force families to flee their homes, important documents can be lost alongside everything else.

In Cabo Delgado and Gaza Province, Mozambique, Tearfund is working alongside government registration services to help families access official identification documents as they rebuild their lives.

Without these documents, displaced families face barriers accessing public services, humanitarian assistance and long-term protection.
Restoring dignity starts with being seen, recognised and supported.

This year, you’ve helped 19,384 local churches to improve their communities, 814 church groups and networks to start community improvement programmes, and 185 schools to train church leaders in the Transforming Communities approach.

But these numbers are really about people.
Through Transforming Communities, local churches help people identify their most pressing needs and recognise the skills and resources they already have to respond.

Please join us in praying for Nepal. 🙏

Flooding has brought loss and displacement to communities including Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading, while the threat of further heavy rain is bringing continued concern about floods and landslides.

We pray for families who are grieving and searching for loved ones, for people who have been displaced, and for children and vulnerable people affected by the crisis.

We also pray for local partners and emergency teams working to reach communities with essential support.
God, bring comfort, protection and hope to the people of Nepal. Amen.
