No dog ever died from missing one walk🚨

If the pavement is too hot for your hand for five seconds, it's definitely too hot for paws. During the heatwave, stick to walks at dusk and dawn to avoid burnt paw pads and heatstroke, and if in doubt, don't go out.

📢 As we welcome everyone to Bushy Park to enjoy the warmer weather this weekend, we want to offer a reminder around the increased risk of wildfires due to these higher temperatures and dry ground.

❌ Please remember that BBQs are not permitted in the park, and make sure that cigarette ends are completely out and properly disposed of.

🔥 Fires in the park put people in danger, cause devastating harm to wildlife, damage to landscapes and habitats, and a strain on the emergency services.

🚒 If you do spot a fire in the park then use what3words to give an exact location to London Fire Brigade.

🚮 Visitors are also reminded to take litter home or place it in bins as glass bottles increase the risk of a fire.

🏊 Finally, although you may be looking for ways to keep cool, swimming in any lake or waterbody within the Royal Parks is forbidden apart from in the Serpentine Lido at designated times.

will be opening in Twickenham at the former Sandys Fishmongers site 🐟

Refurbishment is already underway, and it’s great to see this spot staying as a fishmongers after so many years serving the community.

Sandy’s was a real local institution and its closure was incredibly sad following the passing of Stuart. Many of you will have fond memories of him and the shop.

Wishing the team at Moxen’s the very best as they prepare to open their doors in Twickenham 🤍
