Today was also our last ever session, and unfortunately, Corfe Cubs will not be reopening after Christmas. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported us there over time.

💛🐻✨ A Sad Announcement… Sent With Lots of Love ✨🐻💛

Hi everyone, I’ve got something important to share.

After Christmas, I’ll be stepping down, and Corfe Cubs will not be reopening in the new year 😢💔

Even though I’ve only been running it for a short time, it’s much more time-consuming than it looks. It isn’t just the session itself, but the days of planning beforehand, organising equipment, and carrying the responsibility on one person, which has become too much alongside everything else.

I also want to be honest and open. The Parish Council have kindly offered to keep the hall hire the same for the next year, which I am very grateful for. But realistically, we would still be in the same situation this time next year, and I just can’t keep carrying that pressure.

With my family situation changing, I need to put my family first and make sure I am present where I am needed most ❤️

🌟 This Thursday will be our final session and it will be FREE 🌟 so you’ll have a little extra to spend with The Lovely Box, who will be joining us for their festive shopping special 🎄🎁

They will be bringing personalised gifts and offering:
🎄 Personalised Christmas items
☕ Design-your-own Christmas mugs
🎁 Bespoke festive gifts

If you place any orders and collection can’t happen in person, we will arrange safe central drop-off or collection points so you don’t miss out.

🧸 At the end of the session, there will be an opportunity to take home some of the toys and resources that belong to Corfe Cubs, for home, nurseries, or childminders.

💰 We also have the Corfe Cubs float. I will be asking the Parish Council what they would like us to do with it, with suggested options including donating it to a charity, the church, or the young man in the village raising funds for his trip to Botswana. A final decision will be made once guidance is given.

Please do come along this Thursday to support us one last time. The mince pies are on me 🤍🥧

Hey Corfe Cub families! 🧸💛

Due to rising costs, we’re having to make a small change to our pricing. Stay & Play will now be £3 per family but don’t panic! We’re including refillable hot drinks to keep you all cosy! ☕💞✨

To keep our lovely group financially viable, we really do need your help. Please spread the word and bring your friends along 👶👧👦 Without continued support, our group could be at risk of closing in the future. 😔💔

We’re also looking for parent helpers! 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️
If you’d be happy to help with setting up, packing away, or stepping in to help run a session on days when I can’t, it would make a huge difference. 🌟🤗

There will be a sign-up sheet at the group if you’d like to add your name to help. Just ask at the kitchen. 📝🍪☕
