The Charity of Thomas Guy The charity was set up in the 17th century by Sir Thomas Guy .The charity administers The Almshouses in Tamworth.

We are a nonprofit making charity with the aim of providing housing for local people in need. Giving an emphasis to the elderly, we hope to achieve the provision for a high standard of affordable independent living in a pleasant and safe environment within the community. The Almshouses offer people the chance to live in picturesque accommodation clustered around attractive gardens. We organize all

kinds of events for residents and their family to help them socialize, especially the ones that do not like to venture outside of the grounds; this helps with their mental health and gives them something to look forward to. We provide help and support to our residents if needed so they know they always have someone to talk to if they are struggling with anything.
