While we were talking to the Wales in Bloom judge we were reminded how much we've enjoyed working with various groups around the Town. Ashburnham House have designed and planted an beautiful space at the rear of the building with support from GfT. We've worked with Ysgol y Mynydd Du pupils and staff by donating plants and assisted with designing a wild flower and pollinator garden in the school grounds. The children's enthusiasm really impressed the judge. We've showed the Brownies how to make pots and then plant sunflowers, which are thriving in the Mill Garden and we've shared skills with Black Mountain College students to improve and enhance fences by the river near the Mill.
Although we will not get the Wales in Bloom results until Friday 16th October we can tell you the judge was very impressed about this community’s collaboration during his tour around Talgarth.
We’d like to thank everyone involved in making his visit a very special and we did hear him say ‘ Wow’ on a few occasions! What a great community to be part of.
