We're so proud to have recently supported a young gymnast from Salford in keeping her dreams alive! ๐Ÿคธโ€โ™€๏ธ

After trialling against hundreds of other girls, she earned a place in a competitive squad in Manchester, placing in the top 9% of gymnasts there.

Despite only being 7, she trains seven hours every week (straight from school most days) with her sights set on being a professional gymnast or coach one day.

Financial pressures at home meant her squad membership fees were at risk, but we were able to help secure her place with some funding. ๐Ÿ’›

She's now heading into her first competitive season and we can't wait to see how far she goes!

We fund all kinds of opportunities for Salford's young people! Some of them are more unusual than others... ๐Ÿคบ

Recently, this has included:

- Podcasting equipment
- Refereeing courses
- Cheerleading costumes
- Morris dancing lessons

And of course, all your standard hobbies like football, dance lessons, music tutoring and more!

If it's something your child loves - or something they've always wanted to try - we want to help make it happen.

The Salford Trust supports young people aged 5-25 across Salford to explore their passions, whatever they look like. ๐Ÿคนโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Daisy's version of 'The Winner Takes It All' at Swinton Lions RLFC's fundraiser a few weeks ago!

The night raised ยฃ1,500 for the Swinton Lions Supporters' Trust - a non-profit organisation that supports the rugby club by raising funds, providing practical help, and giving fans a say in how the club is run. ๐Ÿฆ

We got shivers watching her performance of this ABBA classic!

Daisy Allen has been doing amazing things in the charity world! ๐Ÿซถ

We'll mention just a few of them...

Back in April, she performed at the Village Hotel Warrington for an event that raised ยฃ1,800 for three charities: St. Rocco's Hospice, More than Men - Help,Inspire,Grow, and MND Association!

Daisy also did a gig for Swinton Lions RLFC, where they raised ยฃ1,500 for the Swinton Lions Supporters' Trust. ๐Ÿฆ

And last month, she brought more of her positive energy to a charity Ladies Night in Dukinfield, raising funds for Maisie Mooโ€™s Missions. ๐Ÿ’•

She's got even more charity gigs this month! Follow Dee Dee Allen singer/performer
to stay updated on her performances and try to make it to one of her shows.

If you have a child taking exams, you might know how stressful this time of year can be. ๐Ÿ“š

The pressure to do well, revise enough, and then figure out what to do next can obviously feel like a lot to carry!

One thing that can help them is having an outlet in the form of a sport or hobby.

These don't just act as a distraction, but are a reminder that there's so much more to life than grades! ๐Ÿ’›

At The Salford Trust, we fund young people aged 5-25 to do the activities they love, whether that's football, art, dance, music or anything in between.

If cost has been the barrier stopping your child (or a young person you know) from enjoying a sport or hobby, we want to help. Apply for funding via our website ๐Ÿ‘‰ https://bit.ly/3ObsvwU
