Community Footpath Update 🌿

Last Saturday (7 March), our volunteer councillors were out clearing the footpath from Red Barn eastwards towards the Downs. This important work will help reduce the risk of storm damage and make it easier to mow the path during the summer months.

We hope many of you have been able to enjoy our beautiful countryside in today’s lovely weather. If you spot any issues with local footpaths while you’re out and about, please do get in touch and let us know.

🚗 Speed Indicator Device Installed 🚗

Cherhill Parish Council is pleased to inform residents that the new Speed Indicator Device (SID) has been installed today on the A4 in Cherhill.

The SID is part of our ongoing work to improve road safety within the parish by encouraging drivers to be more aware of their speed and to help reduce speeding through our community.

The SID will be in rotation between the three locations at either end of the 40mph section through Cherhill, and the current location near the School.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this initiative. We appreciate residents’ continued cooperation in helping to keep Cherhill safe for all road users, pedestrians, and cyclists.

If you have any feedback or questions, please feel free to contact the Parish Council.

A heads up for the date when the White Horse is to be re chalked!

Saturday May 23rd from 10am. Weather permitting. Bring gloves, sturdy shoes, packed lunch and drinks.

It is a fun day and everyone is invited to help to either hump chalk or give support.
Thanks

🏰✨ Not long now until Cherhill’s Pantoland! DON'T MISS OUT✨🏰
Fairy tales collide in the most chaotic way imaginable!

Goldie Locks isn’t the sweet girl you remember — she’s a cheeky jewel thief on the run from the Big Bad Wolf 🐺 (now reformed and working for the Pantoland Police 🚓). Along the way she meets Snow White, the Wicked Queen, Prince Rupert (hero, cook & bee enthusiast 🐝), and the Three Bears… who are not happy about their porridge being nicked again! 🐻🥣

Expect magic ✨, mayhem 🤪, toe-tapping songs 🎶 and plenty of groan-worthy laughs — classic British panto fun for the whole family!

🎭 Opening in just 2 days at Cherhill Village Hall!

📅 Fri 30 Jan | Sat 31 Jan | Fri 6 Feb | Sat 7 Feb
