Hook & District WI We meet the second Tuesday of every month at Hook Village Hall. Visitors welcome, both members & non-members.

We have a programme of events booked for the whole year, from guest speakers, craft evenings & even skittles!

We had lots of good ideas of things to put into Room 101 to be banished for ever at our meeting on Tuesday.

The most popular was filled poo bags being left on the ground, in bushes, on walls and especially in trees.

Other suggestions included the common cold, dust, companies not returning calls when promised, having to pay for parking with an app, shrinkflation, and difficult to remove packaging.

It was a lively meeting with lots of animated discussions and laughter.

Our next meeting is on 12th May, 7.30pm at Hook Village Hall. New members always welcome - just come along and join us.

We already have one suggestion for entry to Room 101 – DUST!....... It seems to have no purpose and creates lots of work to clean it up.

A pictorial summary of our WI meeting on Tuesday: we had some lively discussions on the Campaign Resolutions to be put to the National Federation of Women’s Institutes, and cast our votes on the one to be adopted nationally.

Then puddings, drinks and lots of chat and laughter.

Our next meeting will be on 10th February when our speaker will be talking about travels to China and Tibet.

No two meetings are ever the same. Why not find out more and join us in February?

We meet at Hook Village Hall on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, 7.15pm for 7.30pm start.
