💙 The Volunteer Welcome Grant is available to help units welcome new Leaders in Training and Unit Helpers by assisting with the cost of starting their volunteer journey with Girlguiding.

The £50 grant can be used for either the cost of the volunteer’s subscription, training or for uniform/members wear or a combination. This grant is available from 1 Sep to 15 Mar 2024.

📣 are looking for volunteers! Could you help review and evolve the Region transition resources?

We welcome applicants from anyone who currently holds an active role within Girlguiding SWE, especially those working towards their Queens Guide Award who are looking for an opportunity to complete the Growth and Retention section of the Guiding Challenge module.

What will you be doing?

➡️ Develop region transition resources between all sections, including the Inspire network

➡️ Finding ways to support leaders and volunteers with transitions

➡️ Promote & encourage flexible ideas and ways of transitioning between sections


Meetings will be virtual, you must be available for the initial meeting on Tuesday 30 May at 7 pm. The project is expected to run from May to November 2023, to launch the new resources at this year's Growing Guiding conference in November!

If you're interested in participating, please email [email protected] by 15 May with a written or video application that includes your name, membership number, current role in Guiding, if you are registered on the Queen's Guide program, and short paragraph of why this role interests you.
