Phew… this heat 🌞🥵
I hope you are all keeping as well as possible, staying hydrated, finding shade where you can and moving a little more slowly with life this week if needed.
The good news? The weather is looking noticeably cooler for the weekend 🙌💚
Which I think many of us — humans, dogs, ducks and probably the Queens Park squirrels too — will be very grateful for 😂
One of the beautiful things yoga teaches us is to pay attention and respond to what is actually here — not what we think we should be doing. In yoga philosophy this is part of ahimsa… compassion and non-harming, including towards ourselves.
So if your body is asking for rest, rest.
If it wants gentle movement, move gently.
If it needs feet up in front of a fan with an ice lolly… honestly, that counts too 😂🍦
And when Sunday comes, Park Yoga will as always be an invitation — not a performance. A space to move in ways that support you, whether that’s energetic flowing, mindful stretching, sitting quietly under the trees, or lying in savasana listening to the birds and breeze.
There is something quite special about practising together outdoors — community, nature, shared breath, geese wandering about with confidence levels most of us aspire to 🪿😂
