๐ The people of Park Yoga. ๐
No usual yoga photos from me this week. Instead, I want to acknowledge something that perhaps doesnโt get said enough.
You are Park Yoga.
Not the poses. Not the microphone (although, bless it, itโs nearly made it through a whole season ๐). Not even me standing at the front talking at you for an hour.
Itโs the people who turn up.
Those who come every week. Those who come when they can. Those who quietly find their spot. Those who chat to the person next to them. Those who wobble, rest, laugh, breathe, move, lie under the trees and simply be.
Your presence and participation create something that none of us could create alone.
And somehow, right in the middle of an urban town, Queens Park gives us this beautiful little pillow of green to land on for an hour. ๐ณ
Trees overhead. Wildlife going about its business. Birdsong, geese, swans and the occasional reminder that we are very much visitors in their home. ๐ชฟ๐ฆข
A little pocket of calm and nurture, held by nature and filled with people.
And an extra-special thank you to Julie and Kayley, our wonderful volunteers. Park Yoga simply doesnโt happen without people quietly giving their time, energy and care behind the scenes. You are both absolute gems. ๐
So this week, the appreciation is for the people.
For showing up.
For participating.
For making space for one another.
For creating this little Sunday-morning community simply by being part of it.
Thatโs Park Yoga. ๐
Park Yoga is completely free and there is never any expectation to donate. But if you would like to support the charity and help keep Park Yoga going, donations are always very gratefully received โ no amount is too small. ๐
